Meet the Treasury Department

Brian Gosney
VP Finance

Prior to working for the church, he gained tax and auditing experiences with several local public accounting firms. Started working for the Adventist Church in 2004 as the Vice Principal of Finance for Portland Adventist Academy. Hired by the Oregon Conference in 2011 as the Undertreasurer and elected as the VP of Finance in 2017.

He received his Bachelors of Science in Administration from CSU Sacramento in 1987 and was licensed as a CPA in 2003. Brian is passionate about sharing God’s unconditional love. His hobbies include traveling, hiking and fly fishing. Family vacations with his wife and son have taken him to all 50 states.

Brent Plubell
Associate Treasurer

Brent joined the Oregon Conference in March of 2014 as a Staff Accountant after serving in the VP of Finance role at Lodi Academy. As Associate Treasurer, Brent oversees the accounting and payroll functions of the Conference.

Brent received his Bachelors of Business Administration from Pacific Union College in 2004. His hobbies involve traveling, reading, golfing, and the great outdoors.

Kody Hendrickson
Staff Accountant

Kody joined the Oregon Conference in March of 2015 as an accounting intern for the Treasury Department. Moving to a Staff Accountant position Kody now assists Treasurer's with the Jewel Accounting System. Kody also leads the Moving Services Department scheduling our new educators and pastors as they transition in Oregon.  
Kody recieved his Bachelors of Business Administration from Walla Walla University. He is single and lives near his extended family in Battle Ground Washington. His hobbies are building computers, home automation and boating.

Crystal Kielman
Staff Accountant

Crystal joined the Oregon Conference from Portland Adventist Medical Center in May 2016. Her duties include church and school billing as well as church remittance.

She received her Bachelors of Business Administration from Walla Walla University in 2010.  Crystal and her husband Taylor are very involved in the pathfinder ministry and in their free time they love to sing, travel, visit family and be outdoors.

Marisela Ventura
Payroll Clerk

Marisela joined the Oregon Conference in August of 2014 as a part-time payroll administrative assistant. She is now working full time as payroll clerk helping to process payroll.

She is also a Sabbath School teacher with her husband, Raul and they both enjoy teaching kids about Jesus and his second coming. Her family is blessed with two boys and two girls: Elizabeth - 21yrs old, Emmanuel - 19yrs old, Esmeralda - 12yrs old, and Eliseo - 10yrs old. Their family loves to watch movies, visit the beautiful Oregon beaches, beachcomb for agates, go camping, play volleyball and badminton.

Maygene Wesslen
Accounts Payable

Maygene came to the Oregon Conference in April of 1986, from the GC Trips West office in San Francisco after working four years at Zambia Union (Africa) in the Treasury department. She does Accounts Payable for the Conference/Big Lake Youth Camp.

She is an alumna of Walla Walla University. Maygene finds enjoyment in travel, cooking, and the out of doors with camping, hiking, skiing, and biking. She loves spending time with family and friends.

Geri Wytcherley
Church Receipting

Geri joined the Oregon Conference in December 2007 filling a part time role in Auditing and Receipting. Since then she has transitioned to full time. She enjoys working with church Treasurers and assisting the Conference auditors, as well.

Geri and her husband Bob have two sons and three grandchildren they love to spend time with. They both enjoy camping, hiking, and kayaking. Geri’s hobbies include photography, sewing, baking and walking on the beach.
